The story of Chris Inspires Care Foundation (CHRIS) is one born out of resilience, faith, and an unshakable passion to uplift others.
Growing up was not easy for our founder, Chris Akpa. Coming from a humble background, he faced the same struggles many young people in Nigeria endure — trying to stay in school, dreaming big despite limited means, and holding on to hope through hard times.
As a teenager, life demanded strength beyond his years. There were days when survival meant pounding akpu by hand or breaking egusi (melon seeds) just to raise money for school. Through it all, his mother's courage and sacrifices became his greatest inspiration. She taught him that perseverance, hard work, and faith can turn even the smallest beginnings into a story of greatness.
With that mindset, Chris refused to give up. He rose above challenges — learning multiple trades, earning his education, and building a career across technology, construction, business, and community development.
His journey from struggle to success became the seed of something greater — the vision to help others break free from the same limitations he once faced. And so, Chris Inspires Care Foundation was born — an organization built to help young people succeed, thrive, and become agents of positive change in their communities.
Today, CHRIS stands as a beacon of hope — empowering youths, promoting education, advancing healthcare, and inspiring compassion across communities. Every project we undertake reflects our founder's belief that no background is too small for greatness to emerge.
